Welcome! I’m Aurora Fernwood, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Washington State. With 12 years as a licensed therapist and 20 years in the mental health field, I bring a deep understanding of life’s complexities and a heartfelt commitment to helping individuals navigate their unique paths toward healing and growth.
As a transgender woman, I know firsthand how vital it is to feel seen, understood, and accepted for who you truly are. My own journey of self-discovery and transformation has shaped my approach to therapy: one that is deeply empathetic, nonjudgmental, and tailored to your needs. Whether you're exploring your gender identity, struggling with anxiety or ADHD, processing trauma, working through relationships or other challenges, you don’t have to do it alone.

Beyond the Therapy Room
When I’m not working with clients, you might find me designing nature-inspired board games, tending to Luna (my bonsai tree), wandering through Washington’s old-growth forests, or enjoying time with my partner, our family and, of course, our two adorable dwarf bunnies! These personal passions keep me grounded and help me connect with the beauty of the world, which I love weaving into my therapeutic practice.
